New Samag tiller head control box
The first next-generation tiller heads have been installed. After the development and prototyping phase, the component is now entering the standard configuration of the Samag range.
The project started from an analysis of the most recurring operational critical points: operator fatigue during extended shifts, difficulty manoeuvring in tight spaces, and the need for controls positioned in line with the natural driving mode. The new tiller geometry addresses these issues with a design engineered to ensure a stable grip and reduce wrist strain during continuous use.
In terms of configurability, the tiller head is designed to adapt to the specific requirements of each application: the layout and type of controls can be defined according to the actual operating cycle, with no constraints tied to a standardised product logic.
The range includes two versions, one for standard use and one for environments with high hygiene requirements, corrosion resistance and frequent washing, with direct application in the food, pharmaceutical and chemical sectors, where cleaning the component is an integral part of the equipment sanitisation procedure.
